Meridiaani’s observation group was founded in 2013 to give students who were interested in observing a place to practice their skills. We use the 60 cm Metsähovi optical telescope in Kirkkonummi, located around 45 minutes from Helsinki by car. Students can observe for fun, but it is also possible to gather data for your own thesis. We have also taken part in international projects, such as the observation of asteroids found by GAIA.
